August 24th
We’ve arrived! We landed in Prague yesterday after a LONG
day of travel. I booked it through customs to see Scott for the first time in
almost 2 months, which was awesome J.
A few minutes later, the group joined us and after some confusion over our
transportation we headed to the city on taxi vans…. On this taxi, Brooke and I
had the interesting experience of listening to 7 men discuss whether or not our
hotel was on a street that had been featured on the Bachelorette. Obviously,
we’re an interesting group.
Last night, we walked around the city a bit, had a group dinner
(complete with chocolate cake!), and then came back pretty worn out. I ended up
going on a brief walk with Scott before bed where we walked across Charles
Bridge, where there was a random firework show that was GORGEOUS. The bridge is
huge and connects the city’s two parts and brings you to the main square of the
town and the hundreds of tourists walking across all stopped to watch the show.
We still aren’t sure what exactly the purpose of it was, but we weren’t
complaining! Then I headed upstairs to the biggest room of the hotel, where 6
girls are staying, including Hayley. Our group has the whole hotel booked, but
each room is different – and theirs is by far the largest… complete with
kitchen and dining room table. But after a little while, we were all ready to
collapse from the lack of sleep, so we headed to bed!
